I'm deeply saddened to learn of the loss of John. He was a business associate and friend. I worked at the M&O Auto Parts next door to Genes Auto saw John and brother Jim almost daily. I remember him as a person that cared about other people and had a great sense of humor. He will be missed. My condolences to the family.

I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing. I worked at Gene's Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge & Ram in the mid- '90's. I have lots of good memories of that time. John was a good man and a great boss, he will be missed.

Dear sweet kind Johnny, I know you and I were so fond of each other long ago, I´m sorry I was not brave enough for both of us. I am sad for your passing and hope all your days had peace. May you rest in peace now. You were so special and always kind. Carol Miller Smith, St. Paul, Kansas

I worked for John and Jim for about seven years at the Cushman store. I enjoyed the family atmosphere of working in a true hometown business with Alaskan values. They truly cared about my family and years later when I would see John we talked as if it was just yesterday we saw each other. I´m a better man for knowing him and his family and already miss him. Gob bless all connected to this wonderful family.
