Gram-Pop Whistle, as Sean would call him, was a very important part of our family. When he died, it felt like it wasn't even happening, and it is still difficult for me to wrap my mind around him no longer being here. Uncle John was special. He would always listen, and you always knew that no matter what, there was always room at his table. I wish he knew how much we all learned from him. He made a little Polish woman lite up with his little bag of treats, and for this, & so many other things, I will be eternally grateful. He was a treasured gift.
