Reading Dr. Ivanoff story showed me that you can have a deep and loving connection with a pet. I was reading in the Bible about the future and how we will be able to run with the lions and live among all animal not in fear. This story reminded and gave me a taste of the friendships we will have with animals in the near future.

Dr. Ivanoff was my advisor in Education when I was a student at Marquette in the early 70's. I have very fond memories of my visits with him. My sincere sympathy to his family; he will be in my thoughts and prayers. He was a grand teacher! May he rest in peace with God.

I knew Dr. Ivanoff when I worked as an assistant at the old MU Department of Education office building. He was a wonderful man, always made me laugh and was always breaking the rules. He was inspiring and a true joy to work with. He will truly be missed.

AS a graduate student in the doctoral program at Marquette, I had Dr. Ivanoff for two statistics classes and he was a member of my doctoral committee. He was a wonderful teacher. He brought difficult concepts down to an understandable level.

I will remember him for his flamboyance. He would walk into class with a stubby cigar (unlight)and set it in the chalk tray while he taught. When there was a break, he would put it back in his mouth chalk dust and all. When I would visit him in his...

I didn't know the man but he sounded like he was a wonderful person that will be missed in this world. Not to mention the dog was a great companion for him

Condolences to the family. John was a great instructor and colleague, who I will always remember with great fondness.

This was a great person and a great grand father to my son (Bobby) He will be missed.

I love you Grandpa, I miss you so much.
