John Warren Jacob

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery for John Warren Jacob, 52, who passed away on June 1, 2010 at his residence. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Jacob, a resident of Duson, LA, was the son of the late Warren J Jacob of Reserve, Louisiana and the former Florence Bell of Kaplan, Louisiana. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and cherished the memories he had of growing up. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Julia Rhodes Jacob of Duson; one daughter, Viktoria Jacob of Duson; two sisters, Brenda Jacob Buchanan and husband Alan of Lafayette and Cheryl Jacob Sonnier of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 10:00 am until the time of services in Lafayette. Pallbearers will be John "Joe" Preis, Roland "Butch" Preis, Alan Buchanan, and Jesse Delahoussaye. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Jacob, William Jacob, Richard Bell, and Ronald Hayes.
