Sad to hear about John's passing and my very best to Marlene and Family. I knew John in the 80's in Bismarck, ND, and we took two canoe trips together to the Boundary Waters in Northern Minnesota as we both loved that area. I remember one trip where, after a long day of paddling in a misty rain, when we got to the Lake where we were going to camp for the night, the sun came out and a rainbow formed and came down right in the Lake it looked like.
