John Vincent Jervis

I can't believe it's been 3 years already. What I remember most about John is his steady demeanor, sense of humor (although I didnt always get the joke) and his love of the written word. He (much like my own father did) loved to bring things to others attention. Whether it be unnecessary bureaucracy, unsafe drivers, or a myriad of other subjects, he would fire up his typewriter and go to it.....Im told he slowed this down as he aged, often not sending the letter to the editor or whom ever,...

John was my friend and unwitting mentor since 2008. His positive demeanor was constant and he always seem to have a smile on his face. I should be so lucky as to share even a fraction of his attitude towards life. Ill do my best, and will miss him dearly.

So sad to hear of John's passing. He was a wonderful man who went out of his way to help me as a youngster just out of college working for Sen. George Moscone. John was smart, loyal, and kind. He will be missed. My condolences to John's family and friends.

I was fortunate to know the Jervis family and John Jervis through my friendship with Laurie Jervis. Throughout the years, Mr. Jervis was always helping us out with our horse 4-H projects or allowing me to tag along on family vacations. I was always in awe of his many talents and enduring positive attitude. And, he was loved and appreciated by his wonderful family and large circle of friends. What better way to live one´s life? Thank you, Mr. Jervis, for a life well lived.
