John "J" Johnson

John "J" Johnson, 70, of  Saylorsburg, PA, passed away on Monday, January 3rd, at St. Luke's Hospital - Carbon Campus, Lehighton, PA.

John was born in Jersey City, NJ on December 28, 1951, a son of the late John and Anna (Woronick) Johnson.

He was the husband of Bertha  (Hummer) Johnson. They celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary last April.  John was a graduate of Hackettstown High School and attended Northampton Community College where he studied computer science.

John was employed in the CAD Computer Aid Design field, until retiring in 2019. Prior to that, he was employed as a car and motorcycle mechanic, and photographer. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed spending his time being a photographer, working on motorcycles, and following Formula 1 racing.  

In addition to his wife, Bertha, John is survived by 5 nieces; Stacey Sonn, Leila Zunino, Marci Gubich, Morgan Barker, and Ashley Hummer, and a nephew Casey Hummer. He was preceded in death by a brother Steve Johnson.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.
