Not sure what to say?

Yes, the kind things I have read about you match my view of you in High School too. Energetic and positive, you gave us class a unifying class spirit.

Very sorry to learn of the passing of John Johnston -great person and great leader - may you rest in peace --J. Reid Shoemaker, Jr. Myers Park High - class of 1960

Dr. Johnston was the most caring doctor. He was in the delivery room when our special needs daughter was born 40 years ago. When we went for out visits he was concerned about the whole family. He said Pam the divorce rate was really high in families with a special needs child. He would be glad to know we made it. We have been married 49 years! Thoughts and prayers are with the the family in the loss of such a wonderful man. He was the best. He will be missed. Pam Buckley

I will miss his smile and amazing outlook on life that he radiated to all around him.

Johnny was a friend from the seventh grade through being a doctor for my children. He was a great leader in the medical field and will be sadly missed.

Dr. Johnson was a very kind and compassionate man. He stayed after hours to help my son who had been injured on Labor Day around thirty years ago. I´m tearing up remembering his compassion he showed my son and I. He had an oral surgeon meet us at CPC to spare us from going to the ER. Afterwards he walked out with me to my car as I put my son in his car seat and said some very kind things to us both. I am a doctor´s daughter and a retired nurse. I was very touched by his care and compassion....
