Was unable to be at the service Sunday evening, though was definitely there in spirit. Robbin... you are a rock that enabled John to do his ministry. It wasn't easy at times, I know... but thank you, Hartley, Carter, Christopher, and Timithy for sharing him with us as parishioners. The man baptized, confirmed, and married me... and I would have had it no other way. After moving here, Mary and I took whatever opportunity we could to hear and see him once again in Sandbridge.

I first got to know John in the early 50's when he would come to Rapidan and the small Emanual Episcopal Church there. He would come to our house for dinner and became great friends with my family (I was about 7 at the time).
Then years later, in the early 90's, he led a wonderful St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Richmond, parish retreat to Shrine Mont - one of the best we've ever had. What a wonderful person with a great sense of humor! He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers...

Dear Robin and Family,
John has and always be a very instrumental part of our spiritual lives. No one can give a sermon like John did in Galilee when I was growing up there in the 70’s and 80’s. I still remember them to this day. As a child I remember his enthusiasm beamed through the congregation and could make any child listen, THANK YOU for that, John! He married us right before he retired in 92. And six yrs later we came back from NC with our first child. John baptized Carter at...

John Jordan was part of my healing journey. I spent many Thursday mornings at the healing services at Galilee. I could feel God's healing coming through John as he placed his hands on my head each week. I will always be grateful.
May you find solace in the blessings of the memories.........

When John came to Galilee in 1967 I was already married and living in Georgia. However I got to know him through my parents, Barbara and Mary Jackson. I always felt that he was my priest even though I did not go to Galilee any more. Eventually I did come home to the beach and ended up doing volunteer work at The Sugar Plum Bakery. He was "The Man". I went to Galilee from... before baptism to beyond confirmation... in other words, my whole life as a child and a teenager. John Jordan was the minister at the church the whole time, whose sermons-- rarely seeming short, but always with a good strong point and purpose-- I remember well from many Sunday services. I like to think he always wanted us sitting in the pews to think and behave in a Christian manner.
I like to think he made a difference in many people's lives. I'm...

With thanks to all of you for John. He was very special and we are all better for having known him. Sorry I can't be there with Debbie tomorrow. Remembering all the good things....

My mother met John in 1977. She said being in his presence was what she felt being with God would be like.
God's earthly Angel touched all who met him. His caring and guidance will remain with me always.
Heaven's light is brighter tonite.
May his love and strength be with us all.
