John was my Uncle. This past October, he traveled across the country to Mississippi to attend my wedding. We hadn't seen each other since I was a small child--what a kind and selfless man he was to travel all that way to watch me say "I do." I felt so special to him, and loved by him, even in that small time we had together that weekend.
