Not sure what to say?

Family and Friends,
As one year has passed I struggle to understand what is to be learned from this tragic loss; nothing seems to fill that space where John was a part of my day.
The grieving process is a long road of obstacle, awareness and acceptance. My hope is to find the peace that John has been given; he is not alone, he is comforted and he is in good hands.
I hope that all of us remember, each and every day the blessing of being surrounded by those we love and trust. My...

To all my family and friends,
My name is Dylan James Witt, Johns youngest brother, also brother to Erika and Sean witt. It has and still proves to be difficult for me to post my feelings about the loss. And as the one year anniversary of the tradgedy approachs, I decided that it is now that i must let my feelings out. I don't know how to make sense of it all, logically it is puzzling to me beyond belief. Yet, I feel that from this I learned how to deal with such pain and loss. Through...

Dear Bill and family,
I am moved by the outpouring of love and sympathy I see in these pages. Over this past month, I have had the opportunity to connect with people from John's life that I had heard about for so many years but never had the opportunity to meet. Seeing these messages from friends and family across the country just reinforces to me how much love John had to give that he made us all feel so special in his life. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Bill & Family - It's only been a few years since I have gotten to know each of you and in that short time it is obvious to me what wonderful people you all are. Though I never met John, I am certain that he was a wonderful man and son and brother and friend. I am so sorry for the loss that all of you are experiencing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

John touched all our lives at Penn Medical School in one way or another. It is a true loss for those who knew him. I wish the best for his family, for he will never be forgotten

John was a fantastic addition to our med school class: always full of energy, always smiling, always ready with a laugh. I didn't know him well, but I'll remember him and miss him. His passing is impossibly sad. Our thoughts and hopes are with you.

John was an amazing person and someone who touched me personally with his kindness and friendship when I first moved to Brookfield. My deepest sympathy for your family.

Hello everyone, my name is Sean Witt. I am Johns brother. It was a tragic thing to happen. I'm not very good at this type of entry, but there is one way I can say what i mean. I wrote this for John:

Barely,
I knew you.
And now,
You've gone.
A cruel wind sweeps,
As the sky unloads the rain.
Your father,
ripped and tormented,
By the loss
of his own.
As My Father,
Our Pillar of Strength,
Crumbles and Shakes.
Take your...

We just heard the tragic news. Our hearts go out to all his family and friends and you are in our thoughts and prayers.
