I love John's understated sense of humor, his loyal support of his family, his courage, and his unusual energy. I couldn't believe we teachers got him to join in with our indoor soccer team when he was 15 years or more older than most of us. Talking to him you get the feeling that he is listening, and that you are communicating with the real genuine him, with no airs or pretense. Just a good, solid guy. May his family be comforted and keep good memories of him always.
