Not sure what to say?

John was a friend thru IAABO basketball officiating. Knew the game better than anyone. Helped so many fellow officials. Condolences to his family.

I´m very sad to hear of Mr. Karo´s passing. He was a great man, I was a bit scared of him as a student at South Jr High, and also as a baseball player when Mr Karo umpired my games. As a catcher I had great interactions with him, and had great respect for him as a man, teacher, and umpire, and later in life as a friend. Rest Easy Mr Karo Jeff McDermott

I was so sad to hear of John´s passing..love and prayers to JoAnne and their children

As a member of Widows walk golf course, John always took care of me and made sure he got me out swinging with a smile. Always asked if I had plenty of beer? Of course the answer was "yes"! I´ll never forget his smile and great conversations. Widows golf will never be the same. RIP sir

John was loved by the members of the Widow's Walk Ladies Wednesday league. We are called the NEGL (No Excuse Golf League). It was such a pleasure to have "Johnny" great us every Wednesday. He will surely be missed. Jane Flynn Cliffe

Joanne my deepest Sympathies to you and your family. May the love you shared help you at this difficult time.

My deepest sympathy to Joan, Douglas, Kevin, Liana, and extended family. John sent me a card a while back and wrote "Don't look back, they are gaining on us." Well partner they have caught up and passed us. See you on that lush green diamond in the sky. By the way, you got the plate. Walt Mortimer Retired Sports Official

So many wonderful, life-long memories were a gift from John and Joan Karo. They, along with Doug and Kevin, were the most incredible neighbors. Our family was blessed to live next door, and I feel blessed to have known him. He was an example for all to follow.

To the Karo, John was my mentor. I came in as a young Umpire and he taught me all to do and how to do it, John a true professional I appreciate everything you did for me. One thing I will always remember "if somebody owes you money, you could never go broke" thank you John it´s what I take with me every day.
