Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to learn of your passing. We were so in touch many many years ago through OBT and Pioneers. What a fun time that was. Time and age and retirement has a way of changing things.
May you rest in GOD'S loving care.

Uncle Jack was a wonderful man who I was happy to see and talk with every Easter, July 4th and Thanksgiving. He always had a smile and seemed to be interested in every subject. No wonder he lived so long. I think he lived each day like this Irish Blessing:

Always remember to forget
The things that made you sad.
But never forget to remember
The things that made you glad.
Always remember to forget
The friends that proved untrue.
But never forget to remember
...

My Mom and Dad thought highly of both your Dad and Mom (true friendship). Jack told me about the place your Mom was for care, and that gave me the confidence regarding the selection of my Mom's residence. So much has changed, but never the memory of kind, loving, thoughtful people. Jack was and is among the shining stars.

When Mitch and I visited Uncle Jack a few weeks ago, he took my hand and told me: "I have no regrets." It has to be a great blessing to be able to say that after 99 years on this earth. My Uncle Jack was one of the kindest men I have ever met. He never had a bad word to say about anyone and he knew a lot of people. God rest your soul, Uncle Jack.
