Not sure what to say?

I am still bothered by "Tom" John Kearnes passing. Dying of Alzheimer's goes beyond Tragic! Tom was so alive, a Positive for so many people. Couple's with his wonderful Wife, Sandy's passing from Lou Gehrig's disease was also very Tragic. And, especially Sandy, so young, vibrant! I was talking about health and diseases just last week, and again, Tom's dying of Alzheimer's came to mind, and I told the people I was talking with about it. Tom was about 3 years older than I, and I am turning...

Tom was an important part of my life, going back to1973...when he came to Yankton to Manage KYNT Radio, where I was working as an Announcer. We both left KYNT in 1978.
He was a person I have been proud to have known. That Tom died of Alzheimers is shocking to me...as I last knew him when he was only 39. His wife Sandy was a very nice lady. I was saddened a number of years ago when I'd heard she'd passed away...

Frist met Tom during a Dale Carnegie Course in 1969 when working for KKLS (KEZU) in Rapid City. Being one of the youngest, he encouraged me and was a big part of my radio and television broadcast sales career for over 20 years. To all members of the Kerns family, especially Scott and Pam, my sincere condolences

Tom was part of my life as far back as I can remember. He was like a member of the family. He will be missed so much by everyone who had the good fourtune of knowing him. Love to both of you, Pam and Scott and your families! I love you all and will be praying for you!Rest in Peace Tom and tell Sandy we miss her too! All my Love, Jane Thomas OKC
