Not sure what to say?

Dr. Keegan and family:

I have thought for many months about what to write here to honor the passing of my friend John. To date, the profound words I seek have not yet come. So I can do ought but try. "The forest would be silent if only those birds sang what sang best."

I do not know that I can offer any succor, but certainly my prayers have been with John and those closest to him for many moons now. It is a great sorrow that I have felt, and I hope that these...

Dear Keegan Family,
I was a classmate and very close friend of John's at The Albany Academy. We spent countless weekends together laughing, exploring music and just being friends. I last saw John in Carson City, NV when he worked for the newspaper there. I was driving through to Lake Tahoe and surprised him at work. I will never forget his expression! I am deeply saddened by his passing and am extending my condolences to your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To John's Family:
John was my best friend here in Boston for a long time. His passing was unexpected and very traumatic for me. I know that John is in a good place now where I hope he is looking down on all of us with a smile on his face. I will miss the fun times we shared both at work and off. I will miss the moments where I was at my lowest and he cheered me up with a simple joke or imitation of our boss. John would always bring a smile to my face no matter what was going on in my...

I am deeply saddened to have learned of John's passing. As a coworker, he never failed to make me laugh or forget my troubles. As a friend, he revealed himself to be extremely loyal and thoughtful. At this time, i extend my deepest sympathies to his family and friends. He will not be forgotten.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Johns family. A friend that will be missed and loved for all of time.

Dr. Keegan, Penny, Bridget and Matt, may I extend my deepest sympathies to you for your loss. John and I worked together for the better part of a year, until early May. John’s intelligence, wit and generosity of spirit have enriched my life for the last year, as he did many of his other co-workers. I am deeply saddened to have just heard of his passing and regret very much not being able to pay my respects in person. I will always remember his effortless ability to make me laugh.

Johnny and I went to Emerson College together. I remember him as a charming, intelligent, creative and very handsome(!) young man.

He had a wonderful way of making everyone feel like his "best" friend. If I had known he was living nearby, I would have certainly made a point of pestering him.

I think about him often, and I was so sorry to hear of his passing.

I hope you will find comfort in your memories of Johnny, and am truly sorry for your loss....
