I met Pat when he was stationed in France, with his buddy Bill Lohr. He was a wonderful "gentleman" even then at a young age, and we kept in touch later on when I was at Georgetown University and through occasional e-mails. He was kind, thoughtful, caring for everyone no matter their station in life, and we'll miss him terribly.

Pat was my best friend for over 68 years. He was in our wedding and godfather for our son Brian . His mother Mildred with her infectious laugh was a close friend to our our whole family and in addition a wonderful Sunday dinner guest, when Pat left Rochester to establish his business career in Syracuse. Many times a golf partner at Oak Hill, Bellevue and Seven Oaks at Colgate university where we won the fall two man bestball. Our two sons caddied.
