John Joseph Kelley

John was one of the finest men I've worked with in my life. Many memories, but a detail I'll remember was his beautiful cursive handwriting.

I met John when providing IT support at SFOS. We interacted frequently as he was always most curious to find creative ways to interact with his students. Over this time, we enjoyed many conversations and the comments about his kindness and generosity are spot on. John offered a great example of how to be a good human being besides his academic contributions. My condolences, but tip a glass to a life well lived.

I will miss a family friend who was loved by my parents. Thank you and Eleanor for the memories

I read its aloud with Celia. I first met John at Barrow in 1959 during our student days. Enroute to visiting Barrow for our "honeymoon" in summer 1965, Celia and I stayed in John's apartment in Seattle. My condolences to John´s family. I knew him at UAF and always found him to be a charming man willing to share his knowledge with others. We shared a strong professional interest in Greenland/Kalaallit Nunaat.

I have fond memories of John as a delightful person ,RIP.
