Dear Iris and Family,
I had the pleasure of first meeting Jack just prior to 50th Anniversary of Toro Employees Federal Credit Union in 1999. I enjoyed listening to his stories about the history of the credit union and his extensive involvement. He started in 1952 as the volunteer treasurer-manager and continued until 1973 then served as director until 1979. His dedication, effort and his financial skills made the credit union a success. Thanks to Jack for helping so many...

Jack to me was one of those guy's who I think they should have coined the phrase "The last of the nice guys"
I knew Jack at Toro.

Of course I remember Jack, and his loving family as well. He has been a hero in many ways, for our country, and as an example of a Christian husband and father. I was privileged to get to know you all. Sincerely, Chaplain Carol A. Collins, now of Presbyterian Homes, but formerly at Walker Southview and Walker Cityview.

I was the music therapist at Walker Southview and remember Jack's glorious smile and how helpful he and Iris were when they volunteered there. If it weren't for Jack and Gordy, the first floor Christmas tree would never have been put up. It was too large for us TR ladies to handle. He will be truly missed. Blessings to you all.

Dear Kay and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I recall your dad just as you described him in his obituary, as a "kind and gentle" man. My favorite memory of him is dancing with him at Kay's wedding. He was such a wonderful dancer. He made me feel like one, too. I'm afraid I stepped on his feet a few times, however. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I hope fond memories bring you peace.
Fondly,
Julie
