Not sure what to say?

John was certainly a special person in my life growing up. From golfing with him at Inverness to teaching me many life lessons. Many wonderful memories I will always have of the both of them. He was one never to ask for help yet would give you the shirt off his back. Thank you for making Cavanaugh Lake even more exciting for me to move out there for the summers knowing you were next door. I will truly miss you and Madeleine forever. Thank you both for being such important people in my...

I spoke with Mr. Keusch just last month about a book I'm writing on his old friend, Cliff Keen. They sat next to each other in Law School at Michigan, 1930-33. He was very sharp with great memory, and a wonderful sense of humor. It was a privilege to speak with him. It was a remarkable conversation that will always be treasured.

John was a very remarkable man. I feel very honored that we lived next door to Keusch's when we were growing up. I am so grateful my sister and I went to see John the last year when I was in Michigan. I was amazed how sharp his mind had kept. I would call him on occasion to say Hello and he always remembered I moved out of Michigan. He said, "Louisiana?" Texas right next door. John was a very special man and he sure will be missed. We know he is at peace. Love and Blessings to you,...

John attended St. Mary's School with the Otto family, my mother and her siblings. When the last survivor, my Aunt Mary, died in 2003 I had the privilege of meeting for the first time and working with John to close her estate. What a wonderful and kind person. He acted as if we were lifelong friends, telling me stories about my uncles and the history of Chelsea. I will always treasure his kindness at a difficult time.

John could have bragged about the many accomplishments in his life, but he didn't. He was always the gentleman,so honorable. When you met him, he always asked about you. He was always interested in how you were doing. I will miss him terribly.
