I didn't work directly for John at the Portland station, but I did enjoy talking to him on many occasions. I remember one time he landed a 34" muskelunge between the intake and discharge tunnels at the plant. I was just telling my wife about it the other day. I hope and pray you find solace in the many happy memories you must have.

Sir,
I did not know you personally, however I would be honored to "Thank You" for your dedicated and honorable Military Service; to OUR Country.
At a later date, we will meet in that "SPECIAL PLACE" which GOD reserves for ALL of those who have stepped forward; to serve their Country in a Military Uniform.
May AL of GOD'S blessings, be with your Dear Family!
