Not sure what to say?

Dear Marilyn & family,

We were so shocked and saddened to hear about John. You guys were so wonderful to us, as a young, newly married couple, making the transistion to Tulsa. We were blessed to have such wonderful neighbors as the Kilgores. Craig especially enjoyed his time with John, running and landscaping together. Craig has always considered him one of his greatest friends and most positive influences in his life. John had so many gifts and talents. Heaven gets to enjoy all...

To inspire means to affect and guide by divine influence. When do you know that someone has inspired you? Is it their motivational way of speaking, their hope-filled wishes for you for the future, or is it what prompts you to move or change? I think it is all of the above and one person that is and will continue to be an inspiration to me and so many others is John Wayne Kilgore. He was my father-in-law and he has blessed me in so many ways. Not until recently did I really share with him...

Ben,

I'm so sorry man. Beth just let me know. When I think back to my years at Liberty Church, your dad was a huge part of my fond memories there. He, Eric Hill, and Andy Mullins taught me what sincere worship of our Lord is and I will always remember him for that awesome gift. I will also remember him for his affectionate strong shoulder rubs that came out of nowhere as I stood talking to someone in the hallway. He was and is awesome.

Dear Marilyn and children,
We are at a loss for words to express how much we care for you and your family. You are in our thoughts and prayer. We have many sweet memories of the "Kilgore family"while your were in Borger.
We love you and are praying for God's riches blessing on you during these difficult days. Much love, Gene and Geneva Hobbs Fritch, Texas

John was "one in a million." Many people have come into my life, but few with John's sincerity, enthusiasm, and dedication. He was such a godly example to me when I was a young Christian at FBC Borger. The power of his smile was surpassed only by the power of his hugs. I was blessed to have him as part of my life. I'm praying that "the God of all comfort" (2 Cor. 2:3) makes his peace (2 Thes. 3:16) abound to your family. I know that God will be glorified in John's "heavenly promotion" as...

A Smile always comes when I think of John...how he impacted all of us while in Borger...he had old people like me even DANCING on the stage...we love him and will look forward to continuing this wonderful relationship one day..Nan and Dave Warren

Dear Kilgore Family:

As I read through the other entries, I couldn't help but shed tears of joy as so many people were touched by John. His smile lit up every room he entered and his hugs were so filled with love no matter who he was hugging! Heaven is a brighter place, but his presence will be missed. All of us shine a little brighter for having known him. My prayers are with all of you.

Dearest Marilyn and Kids,

We are so sorry for you loss and pray that God's angels are around you all as you go through this difficult time. Take comfort in the fact that John, you and your family touched so many people through your music and love of God.

I still remember the Christmas's in Garland and at my Aunt Sharon's house where John, you and the kids would come in join around the piano and sing with such beautiful voices the hymns of Christmas. One could not help but look...

Kilgore Family -

John had very special qualities from his enormous smile to his enveloping bear hugs. He always made me feel as if I were the only person in a room full of people. I will always remember him fondly. What a tremendous example of how God would have us love!
