I didn't know Mr Kimbrell all that well, but I knew his Mother, Mrs Carrie, and his brother, Lynn. I did come by his home a few times, because a friend of his and mine, Sammy Thornton, would always want to "go by and see Charles and Gwen" after going to a bama game at Legion Field. Sammy always kept up with Charles and his kids. And through Sammy, so did I. It seems like such a short time ago, but time slips by so fast.
