Mack was a special guy. He had more heart, generosity and common sense than any of us community college presidents. When he talked, we listened. All his drives are in the fairway now and his putts hitting the back of the hole. Rest in peace.

Mack was a warm and genuine friend. When you were in his presence, he always made you feel special. I was lucky to have had the chance to work for him and learned a great deal about different styles of leadership and examining the consequences of your actions. Mack Kingsmore was one of those truly remarkable people in life that has no equal. He was warm, approachable, professional, ethical and fiercely competitive! So much so that you knew somehow,someway, he would always find a way to WIN! In order to find greatness you have to be touched by greatness. Mack Kingsmore has touched thousands upon thousands of student athletes. I consider myself one of the lucky ones!

Mack was a treasure that we really appreciated after he moved on to Pittsburgh. We then truly learned what wonderful qualities he had as a leader who always made us feel that we were all equals, presidents or faculty members. Plus, he was just a great guy to be around.
