Gone, but he will never be forgotten. Bates was truly one of a kind. He always smiled and had a hearty laugh. I for one will really miss him. Fish on !

Bate you will always hold a place in my heart. The unlimited times you have offered your help never went unnoticed. You were deeply loved by all who knew you. Keep the laughter going in heaven and watch over us.

As I was reading this obituary I was saddened by the loss of John. I did not know him so at this time I would like to send you my condolences. Death is a sad time in our lives so taking comfort in God´s strength, only he can help us get through these hard times that lay ahead of us at this time. Have a good day.
