Not sure what to say?

Sal and I are classmates of the class of '49. John and Margaret are fondly remembered and we had the pleasure of renewing our friendships on visits to Arizona and of course the class reunions. They are missed.

I was saddened to hear of John's
passing. We played ball together in our youth and I always found John to be such a decent person who always had time for friends.
After many years away from Ann Arbor, I was able to reconnect with John and on our Fall visit to Ann Arbor, John and I enjoyed many hours talking about our exploits
on the softball diamond.
He will be missed by his many friends.
May he rest in Peace.

Our deepest sympathy to Johns family. We have many good memories of fun times with John and Margaret in Arizona. He was a good friend and will be missed. We regret that we were unable to attend His Memorial Service.

Our sympathy to all the family and sorry can't be there for the memorial. John was a special friend to all of us and will be missed. GO BLUE!

John was the best stepdad there could possibly be. He was wonderful to Steve and me and, most importantly, an incredible husband to mom. He was dearly loved and will be missed. Say Hi to mom, John. XOX

Prior to then our ships were docked in sight of each other in Japan but we did not know the other was so close. When I got out of service John installed a shower for me in my parent's basement. Typical John--always willing to help with whatever a friend needed. After we moved away from Ann Arbor in 1958 we lost...
