John W. Kolet, 72, of Hoffman Estates for 46 years, U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, entered life Feb. 24, 1933, entered eternity Nov. 10, 2005, beloved husband of Alice, nee Cardiff; loving father of Judith Kolet of Arlington Heights, Cindy (Michael) Sell of Barrington, Kimberly Kolet of Palatine, John (Catherine) Kolet of Aurora and Laura (Dale) Brehmer of Algonquin; cherished grandfather of Jennifer and Christopher Sell, Michael and Kara Janachione, Connor and Caroline Kolet and Amanda Brehmer; loving son of Irene, nee Milowski, and the late Joseph S. Kolet; fond brother of Jerry (Fran) and the late Jim Kolet; and uncle of many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 12:15 p.m. at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 729 Grand Canyon Parkway, Hoffman Estates, for Memorial Mass at 12:45 p.m. John graduated from Fournier Institute of Technology in 1954 and then married Alice on Sept. 11, 1954. He received his Master's Degree from Northwestern University in 1964 and had worked as an electrical engineer for Zenith for 28 years. John loved carpentry, painting and gardening. He was always there to lend assistance to his children with home projects and his grandchildren with school projects and homework. Uncle John was a kind, loving man. He made me smile and I will remember him with love and affection. My thoughts and prayers are with his family through their time of grief.

Uncle John was a good man who was a loving husband, father & uncle. He will be missed. He was very kind to me when my father & mother died.

Our heartfelt sympathy to John's wife and family. I worked with John most of his time at Zenith and regret his passing. May he rest in peace.
