Not sure what to say?

John, You would be so proud of your sons and grandchildren. I will keep you in my prayers.

I was just thinking about "Uncle John" just now when the Giants won. I wanted to send him an email. While looking for the United Die Site, I came across this. I'm heartbroken I didn't know. I truly considered Uncle John as my real Uncle. He was my father's best friend and the childhood memories I have with him will be cherished forever. I wish I stayed in touch after my father's passing. Uncle John was an amazing man and probably the only "true" friend to my father. I just can't believe he's...

I was deeply saddened to hear about Johnny's death. I am the youngest daughter, Joan, of Andrew Patera. My father worked first for your grandfather and then for your father until he retired about 30 years ago. As kids your father, Marion and me and my two sisters all spent alot of time together. If you have some very old family photos I am sure we are in some of them. We have lots of fond memories of holidays and special occasions with the Kontra family. On behalf of the Patera family I...

I went to Sherman School with Johhnny. I remember his mother and little Marian. During WWII Northeast NJ was one vast arsenal and the Kontra family and their company were there with sparks flying. Ray Pfeuffer
