John Kool

John and Ruth were next door neighbors and good friends in the early years of our time together as part of the MSP family. They were a wonderful family; Ken and Karen babysat our kids. My condolences to the Kool family on the loss of Ruth (who I just discovered died in 2002) and their Dad, John. I have many wonderful memories of their kindness and generosity and would love to get in touch with one of the children.

John was a very special guy and I´m so glad I was able to be a part of his life during his special journey. We had lots of late night snacks and coffee. John will be missed by my dad at the Lakeview Terrace. John and dad (so I was told by staff members) would walk the beat at night at the Terrace. Stopping for a night time snack. John never stopped serving his country even in his golden years. John also sat at the dinner table next to my dad. He wasn't a man of many words but he and my father were buddies for the short time dad has been at the Terrace. RIP John and thank you for your service. Gene's daughters!!
