Not sure what to say?

Karen and family, Dr. Koopmans was a wonderful person and great chirpractor. Jimmy and I (and Yap) were patients and I briefly worked in the office. I will never forget him.

I know I think of John everytime I ride down Myrtle Ave and pass his office.I hope I always do..:-)

Every time I pass John's office, someone will remind us of a special joke or tactic... I especially liked the "industrial strength adjustments". Another sign is on the door of his office now. It still brings tears to my eyes. Some people in our lives will never be forgotten. John Koopmans is one of those. May all beings benefit.

Dr. John treated me when I was was at low point in my life both physically and mentally. I found myself in eureka on a road trip from Vancouver, Canada. Both John and his wife were so kind and they allowed me to be treated immediately and gave me a break on the costs. His treatment was very thorough and he really helped me. I was able to complete my journey. He was someone that I will never forget. He will be missed and it was a pleasure to have known him.

I just found out today of John's passing. I can't believe it. I always looked forward to my doctor visits with him when I lived in Eureka. He was a great guy and a great doc. He always spoke lovingly of his family who were obviously very important to him. The world is a lesser place without him. It's a little late, but I wish to extend my condolences to his family.

Karen and girls,
I just learned of John's passing and am shocked beyond belief. My heart aches for you. Our families were so close during our life in Arcata/Eureka and we have such wonderful memories of our times together. In fact, we recently looked at home movies and there was John and Sarah, along with Mark and Todd at the track for a jog-a-thon to benefit Arcata Christian School. I'll never forget his smile and laughter. I'm grateful that your family was a major part of our...

I came to Eureka in 1999. John Koopmans treated me without charge for more than two years. His jokes were intended to mislead the patient before one of his "industrial strength adjustments". The jokes were wonderfully awful... and John was wonderful as a doctor and as a person.

He will be missed by so many people, including me.

John Koopmans treated me with respect as well as humor. My first pastor once gave a sermon asking: "If you were accused of being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?" In John's case, the answer was "Yes."

I signed the Guest Book on October 21 and was told I forgot to sign our name.
I know the immediate family knows who we are but for the extended family, our deepest sympathy.May all of you find comfort in knowing that others sympathize with you and care deeply. Our love to the family. The Stivers
