Not sure what to say?

Dr. Kostis and I came to Rutgers Medical School the same year. It was my privilege as a first-year student to be his summer intern, exploring a new technology (echocardiology). He was absolutely driven in the quest for new and practical knowledge, and always thinking outside the box. For example, he told us about his study, while at Penn, of real-time blood pressure measurements of Philadelphia drivers behind the wheel in the middle of rush-hour traffic! Dr. Kostis was my cardiologist for over thirty years. He was a very caring, knowledgable and compassionate physician who treated his patients with devotion and kindness. Caregivers like him are exceedingly rare. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Dr Kostis was that rare physician and scientist who loved his profession and respected his patients. He had been my doctor for 38 years. I valued his medical knowledge and care immensely. My heartfelt condolences to his family and colleagues.

I had the privilege to do my Residency and Fellowship training at Rutgers RWJNH starting in 1983. Dr. Kostis was a friend, as well as, my chief, when I joined the faculty of UMDNJ, RWJ medical school. He gave me the opportunity to do what I loved. He reached out to me many times when I had problems with my health, and enabled me to continue to be productive. Our offices were next door to each other for many years, and we had many after hours conversations which always were of help to me. Dr. Kostis will be missed, and remembered fondly.

forever missed A lovely and respectable old man passed away. He dedicated his life to cardiology.
