Koszegi, John C. AKA "The King" - of Davison, age 88, died Tuesday, April 27th, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Memorial visitation 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 until the time of the Memorial Mass at 12 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison.
John was born on July 11th, 1932 to John and Theresa Koszegi. He graduated from Flint Central High School in 1951. He entered the Army in 1954 and was honorably discharged in 1956. He married Isabelle Bowman in 1956 and together they raised four children. Isabelle was truly the "love of his life." He worked and went to night school at Central Michigan University graduating in 1968 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration to achieve one of his proudest accomplishments. He worked for AC Spark Plug for 30 years retiring at the age of 55. He then opened his own business S. Damien & Associates working as a Manufacturer’s Representative for 18 years. He continued to work various jobs throughout his life because he enjoyed people and the social aspects. He always said "what else am I going to do?"
John (Daddy) was a very proud man who was very proud of his Hungarian heritage and loved teaching his great-grandson Eli Hungarian phrases. He was described by everyone who knew him as being a true gentleman and the kindest man they had ever known. He knew someone everywhere he went. John enjoyed reading, golf, theatre, dancing, going to the movies and attending the symphony with his friend Harold Grant. He enjoyed meeting up with his buddies for drinks and dinner at Lucky’s, the Moose Club and the Eagles or wherever they could meet. But most of all he loved being with his family. He always said "my family is everything to me."
He is survived by his "Darling Daughters" Lisa Koszegi (Richard), Brenda Warburton (Mark), son Jeffrey Koszegi. Grandchildren Christopher Ehrke (Allison), Michael Koszegi, Shauna Koszegi. Great-grandchild Eli Ehrke. Cousins, Lou and Louie Horvath. Also, many very special friends including Diane Ray, Jim Amyouny, Dave Williams, Harold Grant, Willie Artis, John Connolly, Paul Bailey, Allen Schmidley and George Benjamin and Mike Stikovich.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son (Gregory Koszegi), and so many special friends.

Losing such a kind and sweet soul you call daddy, is so heart breaking. Im sorry for your loss. To me he was my best friends sweet father who cared about me throughout the years and took the time every Christmas to send me a card, which truly brought joy to me. Your kindness shined!
I adore you John and am blessed to have known you. May God bless your family as they walk through life without you on Earth while you rest in peace in the arms of Jesus.

I am saddened beyond belief about "Dad's" passing. I always called him "Dad". My deepest sympathy goes to Lisa, Brenda, and Jeffrey. Your Dad was the most kindest and sincere man who I've had the privilege to know. He was always smiling, and had always kind words to say to everyone. His kindness will always be remembered. He will be greatly missed. May God comfort and strengthen you at this sad time in your lives.

Brenda. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. He was truly one of a kind. As an Eastsider John never forgot his roots. My brother always spoke highly of your dad with good reason. He was always so nice to me. I'll miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Dennis Lazar
