Not sure what to say?

I want to offer my sympathy to family and friends of John. As a neighbor for more than 20 years, I can confirm he is a gentleman of the highest order. His sunshine will be missed...

John was a friend for the last two decades in La Jolla. I feel so blessed to have spent so many close hours with him during his last few months here in La Jolla while we were working with him as his realtor. The gym at La Jolla Alta just isn't the same without his energy. He was so excited to move on to his next chapter in life in Palm Springs. We often spoke of chapters in life in his Crystal Bay kitchen. Best wishes to all loved ones. John was truly one special man. Mark and Karla Stuart

My thought and prayers are with your family during this time of sorrow, I worked with John at Mesa College, He was highly respected and I am deeply saddened with his passing.

My prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. I worked with John for many years at Mesa College. His bark was much louder than his bite, He was a dear man and I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing.

We are very sorry to hear about the sudden death of John. But his memories will always be with us. He was very special, and he will always have a special place in our lives

Sweet Georgia Brown was written for you, coach. I hear that song and I think of you and the huge life long influence you had over the last 60 years or so on the guys on your basketball team at CHS. RIP, Coach. You will be so missed by so many.

i offer my condolence to the Kovac family! I met coach Kovac in 1966 . As a former community college athlete, educator and coach myself I experienced John's integrity and repect towards fitness and sportsmanship? He was a true professional !
