Not sure what to say?

I first met John in 1969, as a schoolgirl. He was a close friend to Jim, my now ex-husband. Although I have not seen John in the past few years, I have very fond memories of the years that John, Pam, Jim and I spent together as the closest of friends. John was kind and generous, fiercely loyal, with a quick wit and a brilliant mind. My heart goes out to Pam, Peter and their families. You will be missed John. RIP

I had the privilege of working with John for 20 Years. As an insurer client he did nothing but astound us at his brilliance, his humour and his exceptional legal skills. He will be missed and his wonderful Melbourne Cup tips will no longer travel to NZ. A true gentleman. You will be missed. Pam and family we send our condolences from his New Zealand friends and colleagues. RIP John.

I first met John in 1975 - a long time ago - shortly after we had been admitted to practice. He was the quintessential practical lawyer. His clients were very fortunate to have someone of his abilities representing them. His dry wit was something I still get a laugh about. When I retired I recommended to a longstanding client that John should be my replacement and I note from another obituary that occurred and was successful. Far too young to be no longer with us. RIP John

John was terrific. I had the pleasure of working with John as his admin for the past couple of years. He had an incredible wit and dry sense of humour which would keep the banter (and morale) going all the week! He was a genuine and thoughtful person and was truly an expert in his field. An ultimate strategist and a king negotiator. I’m so grateful for the time I had working alongside John. I learnt a hell of a lot from him. I’ll certainly never underestimate ‘dust’ again..!
Vale John....

I first met John in 1998 when my work involved asbestos claims and we became very close associates and more importantly good friends and met socially on many occasions over the years. He was a very supportive and understanding in all things. I am so pleased that I was able to speak to him at length on the 18th July. My thoughts go out to Pam and his family at this very sad time.

John was a great help to me with some difficult claims over more than a decade. We always managed to share a laugh even in challenging times. May he rest in peace.

How super sad - rest in peace John you will be fondly remembered as a very nice and genuine person who worked hard. I remember the first time I saw John at Norris Coates, not your typical lawyer dressed in jeans and a polo top was his vibe. John will be remembered by being very approachable and caring. MJ

We are saddened by the passing of John , we will miss him greatly. Wonderful memories of fun times together. brother-in-law to Carol & Don , uncle to Lana , Cameron & families

So sad, my sincere consolences. He was a special person and very supportive to me in my career, particularly after my friend and mentor David, passed.
