It's sad when you reach an age when your friends/acquaintances are no longer with us. I knew "Tall John" from singing a capella at "Dr. Jekyll's" in Eliz., NJ. Although it may have seemed like a competition between different groups, it wasn't because we appreciated each groups unique talents . Condolences to friends & family.

I am so sorry for your loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain you during this difficult time. (Isaiah 61:1,2). My prayers are with your family.

Dear Ann and family of TJ: John and I worked together for the county for 22 years. It was a joy to work with John...His sense of humor had me laughing on many days. He was a great guy to work with and we spent many hours together in all kinds of weather, working all over the County. John was a perfectionist. He abhorred sloppy work and everything he did was a masterpiece. He measured, checked and made sure everything he did was neat and pleasing to the eye. I miss our many good times...
