Not sure what to say?

John was a beautiful example of warmth and hospitality. The world is a better place because he was here, and I wish all the Kurkjians peace and healing now that he is gone.

With love,
Heidi Koester

I am so sorry to hear about John's passing. Given his serious health history and the way he just kept bouncing back from every operation and episode, I just assumed he had found the answer to immortality. What a beautiful obituary. It captures the kindness, thoughtfulness and love of life that were so much a part of who he was.

I am sure that this has to be hard for you, Jenny, Bill and the grandkids. Someone like John doesn't leave this earth without it creating...

John was a special person and will be missed by all who knew him. I was involved with John on his Waldenwood project. We still have a home in that neighborhood. My deepest condolences to the family. My prayers are with you as you grieve his passing. Dave Cole

I remember meeting John at his famous snow volleyball game on my first trip to Douglas Lake in the winter of 1991. John continued to offer love and hospitality through all these years. I'll always recall his happy greeting and a wave and a smile as he rode by on his daily bike rides.
Many prayers to all the Kurkjian family as we join you in grieving his passing. He will be greatly missed.

Love and hugs,

I saw John in my office for several years. It was always a great personal pleasure to see him, to share our common Armenian heritage, and to witness and enjoy his generous and outgoing spirit and personality. A most gracious and kind gentleman. My deepest sympathies to John's family for the loss of his daily presence.

John was one of the BEST things about going "Up North" to Douglas Lake for the past 40 years. He always took the time to ask how we were and especially loved chatting up my husband when he started coming to the lake. I am so happy that we got to know such a wonderful man who will be so missed around the lake.

Much love to Judy and the Kurkjian family.
