Not sure what to say?

My dearest friends,
Mr. Kurty served as our coach, our role model and our mentor throughout our lives. The friendship that Coach and Mrs. Kurty had with our parents, Bob and Laura McCarron, was a very special relationship with many, many fond memories. As my coach at Westfield State College, he taught me how to train hard, play fair and never leave anything on the field. He was truly a man and person who was definitely guided by our Lord's hand. He has consistently been one of my...

Rita,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this extremely difficult time. We thought John was a wonderful man. With love and friendship.

Dear Rita and family, My heart goes out to all of you upon the devastating loss of John. I don't think any man was more loved for his true kindness, talents and professionalism. If anyone can be, John is most certainly in the arms of Jesus. May you all be blessed. Love, Fran Bogan

Dear Mrs. Kurty and family. I was so sorry to hear of your husband and father's passing. He was one of a kind. What a role model, teacher, coach, and leader he was. He not only impacted thousands of students and athletes that he taught, but millions more benefitted as each person touched by coach strives to help others in his image. My heart goes out to you, and thank you for sharing coach with so many.

Coach Kurty was a special person - he started me as a freshman on a team stocked with talent. He then helped me transfer to a Div 1 school where a partial (but important) scholarship awaited. He always looked out for the best interest of his players. Coach Kurty will always be remembered with fondness and respect. RIP Coach. May God grant peace to family and friends.

I am sorry to hear of Coach Kurty's passing. As many have said he was a great man and mentor. No one has mentioned his wit. There is a lot of down time in athletics, a lot of sitting and waiting for things to get going. I always like spending that time with coach and to hear his stories or share a joke. A great man who will be missed by so many! Thanks for everything coach!
