John Matthew KURZ

KURZ, John Matthew born May 15, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan left this earth to join his parents, John and Stella Kurz along with his two sons, David and Steven on May 27, 2017. He is survived by wife of 65 years, Evelyn; three children, Jack, Julie and Jeff: seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. John graduated from University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy. He owned and operated Fort Dodge Drug and Fort Lowell Pharmacy. After retirement, he worked at several independent pharmacies. John was a very intelligent, quick witted, and charismatic man with an amazing sense of humor. He bowled for 20+ years on the Doctors, Dentist, and Drugist leagues and was an avid reader of current events. John greeted everyone with "Good Morning" no matter what time of day it was, and never had a complaint. John was an early riser and loved to play solitaire while enjoying his mountain views. Services were held Thursday, June 1st. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY. May God's grace be abundantly with him.
