John Carl LaBella

The saddness that I feel can find no words. After 30 years of work and friendship I find it difficult to understand a world without Johnny. I can imagine him doing PSA's for WHVN and I'm sure that he'll be right back after these commercial messages. Love ya'Missy

His voice makes me think of good times and home (DFW). He will be missed by all of us who grew up with the Zoo.

The ZOO rocked when i was in high school! LeBella was the man.

I first met John in college and later worked with him at WHCN. To say he was a professional at all times was an understatement. To say he was funny is mere words. He was kind, gentle, sweet, loving, smart, witty and one of a kind. I am devastated at this tragic and senseless loss. Radio will be a sorrier place without him.

It is quickly obvious from the many tributes that John had a great affect on many people - friends, colleagues and listeners. He will be missed but he won't be forgotten. John is also an important part of the history of WWUH-FM at the University of Hartford. Although he went on to great commercial success, his contributions to the non-commercial side of the spectrum are grand. And what a voice!

I will miss John's voice on my morning drive and at work. My prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

When he was at The Zoo we thought Labella and Rody were gods.

As the former General Manager of WINF Radio in Manchester Ct I employed John in probably his first position in Commercial Radio.
What a joy he was to have on the staff. Type of person who got along with everyone.
His production work had to be just right before it aired. I watched his progress in the business over the years as his talent took him to many Radio stations.
We have lost a friend far too young in years.
