Not sure what to say?

Being the only blond on this side of the Lafler clan, Uncle Jack was one of my biggest supporters. Always telling me that "us blonds have to stick together" helped to make me feel that I fit in in a sea of redheads, especially as a youngster. I will remember with great fondness the comraderie between Uncle Jack and my Dad, the stories they would tell about growing up and the mutual caring and respect that was so evident between them. We will miss you.

My loving brother was my hero while we were growing up. With his example as a participant in football and track, I became very active in both sports and I thank him for the encouragement he gave me whenever obstacles arose. He even actaually taught me how to dance!

As I reflect on his influence, I learned how to master interpersonal skills by observing his gregariousness and his great sense of humor and how important it is to reach out to others. Jack, you always...

When I heard this news of my Uncle Jack's passing, two things: One, my own beautiful red-headed son, now 11 and so full of all things Lafler, would never know him and this made me very sad. John Lafler was my uncle, my dad's brother. He was a truly funny guy and a great ranconteur.
He was a huge presence in my life when I was a little boy. Our whole house brightened often with his presence--he charmed me with his wit and humor, and his obvious affection for my dad and all our family.
My dad looked up to his big brother with love and admiration.
Fare you well, Uncle Jack -- of course we will always remember you on my son Max'x birthday, which you share with...

Uncle Jack always made me laugh, and helped me to become a good speller. Whenever he visited my childhood home, he would prop me on his knee and review my spelling words with me. I would study ahead of time with special devotion to the task whenever I knew he was coming. It was always the greatest of fun when he, Aunt Lois, and all my cousins would get together. Mayhem, but lots of fun. Uncle Jack, may you be held very close to the heart of God, and with Grandma and your nephew John and...
