John D. Lambert

John D. Lambert John was born March 1929 in Clairborne County, Tennessee and passed away peacefully on May 27, 2011 after losing his battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses and Viola Lambert; his sisters, Edith Campbell and Reva Fultz; brothers, Evan, Stewart, Cletis, Noah and David Lambert and son-in-law, Vaughan Wentz. He is survived by his loving wife, Delores of 56 years; his son, John D. (Brenda) Lambert II; daughters, Jeanne Wentz, Joy (Domingo) Alvarez, Judy Dunker and Julie (Bob) Anderson; grandchildren, Michael (Rebecca) Wentz, Drew Wentz, Dustin (Chrissy) Orr, Misty (Dusty) Bristol, Alyssa Guevara, Kaitlyn Anderson, Taylor and Gabriella Lambert; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Arianna Wentz, Jacob and Peyton Orr and Kylie Bristol; brothers, Otis and Kenneth Lambert; sisters, Geneva Brooks, Nella Fay Dawson and Louetta Brooks. John served in the United States Air Force for four years, the Arizona Air National Guard for 30 years; worked as a shovel operator at the copper mines and drove a school bus for the Sunnyside School District. He was a kind and loving man and will be missed by family and friends. Visitation will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary and Cemetery, 5801 E Grant Road, on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Palms Mortuary and Cemetery with Graveside Service to follow at All Faiths Cemetery, 2151 S.
