Not sure what to say?

Thinking about my dear friend, Kathy Lang, my college roommate, as she reaches the one year remembrance of her wonderful husband, John. He provided her with a loving, fun filled journey through life. He brought so much joy to those around him and left a great legacy behind. My prayers and hugs to the whole family.

I first met John when my husband and I traveled to Cleveland to be in their wedding. What a kind, upbeat man, and perfect for Kathy, my college roommate! Later on, over the past 45 years, we have met in Detroit, every five years, for our College Reunion. He always made them so much fun, with his great sense of humor, practical jokes, and very touching and thoughtful gestures, never forgetting to bring both of us women flowers!! May you rest in peace. You touched many hearts. You were a great math teacher. Prayers to the family in these difficult times.

I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing. I was one of his students a long time ago at Lakewood high school. I remember him as such a kind man. My thoughts and prayers for your family. God bless.

Mr. Lang was always kind and patient when I was navigating Algebra in 1980. He always laughed with me at my mistakes and never gave up on me. I did pass. God bless him and may he rest in peace.

Mr. Lang? My calculus teacher at Lakewood High? What an inspiring teacher! He made learning calculus functions seem possible ("well you just put it in the hopper...").I'm so sorry to hear this news. Wish I had told him in person what a good teacher he was! Thank you, Mr. Lang!

John was a wonderful person to know and work with. My sympathies to you and all of the family. He will be greatly missed.

The staff of the American Cancer Fund® at www.AmericanCancerFund.org is sorry to hear of John's passing. We have received a memorial donation in his name and our sincere condolences go out to his family.

John was the perfect partner for my sister Kathy. He loved doing things around the house and garden. He loved travelling. He was also very smart and had a happy-go-lucky attitude. He was always willing to help you, just make a phone call and he'd be there. He was also a great father and grandfather. He loved playing with the kids and making them laugh. We'll miss him terribly. Rest in peace John. - Love, Tricia & Tom
