Not sure what to say?

Fred, Emil, Anne Marie, Janet & June
and families:

I was surprised to read of your father's passing. I thought he would live forever--and as all good viking men claim they can, I believed he would. He was always busy and engaged in life. He has a wonderful family he leaves as his legacy.

I have enjoyed your friendship over the years and have many memories of your family. I am blessed to know the Langeland family.

May God comfort and send peace to all...

Dear Langeland Family,
We wish to honour President Langelands Memory. Exceptional couple your parents were and the Norwegian saints needed their inpirational leadership and warming friendship. They taught by example and became guiding lights for many young families, including us.
With gratitude

Dear Langeland Family,
The passing of John Langeland leaves a void in all of our lives. He was a dynamic man who left a mark wherever he went, he made things happen - many good things, and I will always remember the conversations I had with him, his wonderful, inspirational talks, his example, his jokes and winning personality.
He will be greatly missed, and mostly by you who are his family.
A poem comes to mind:

"Det her vi elske

Dear Langeland Family,

We send our deepest sympathy to your family at this time. Your father has been a great example in his life of living his testimony. His example of constant service was a blessing to all who knew him and were able to work with him. You can take great comfort in knowing that for him this is a joyous reunion with loved ones. Fred and Shirley, it must be hard to be so far away at this time. We know you will be comforted and blessed for your unselfish...

Dear Fred and Shirley - Our thoughts are with you and your family at the passing of your Father. He was truly a great man and a wonderful example. We wish you and your family the best.

While a missionary in Bergen, Norway in 1970 I was walking with my companion on a country lane. We stopped to talk with an older man and when he found out we were from Utah he asked if we knew John Langeland. This happened a couple of times while working in the area. At the time I didn't know John, but later had the opportunity to meet with him. I learned first hand at that meeting why people as far away as Norway would remember him.

Dear Langeland Family,
I entered the Olso Norway mission in April 1978. I was pleased to serve under President Langeland until his mission was complete the summer of 1978.

I was pleased to attend the 90th birthday the missionaries put on. There I learned one of President Langeland's mottos: 'THE GREATEST ROOM IN THE WORLD IS THE ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT." I haven't forgotten that since I have heard it.

Dear Langeland Family,

I was truly blessed to have President Langeland as a mission President. I began my mission right at the beginning of his calling. I was able to get acquainted with him before I left for the mission home. His council to me then made a huge difference in my mission and it was a pleasure to serve under him. He transformed the mission and I believe it was his influence that made it possible for the first stake in Norway to be organised which happened during his...
