John Joseph Lavaggi

John Lavaggi was to me a grandfather that I never had. My paternal grandparents were gone 10 years before I was born. My maternal grandmother was gone before I was born and I only had my Pa (Mom's Dad) for less than one decade in my young life. Marrying into the Lavaggi family, I instantly gained the grandmother I never had and another new "Pop", all while learning that Italians yell......a lot! I'll never forget your energy and celebrational spirit! You were a great neighbor. Your love for softball was inspirational. I wanted to play as long as you did but never came close and retired from the game at age 48! Rest in peace John! I'm sure you'll get a game going in Heaven. Find Rob and you'll have a long ball hitter! Prayers and hugs to Margie and all the family.
