Father John L. Lavorgna

We will miss him always...hard to believe it is already a year since we had to say goodbye...please watch over our St. Pio family...

I was saddened to learn of Fr. Lavorgna's sudden and untimely death. We were blessed to have him as our pastor at Mary Mother of the Church for several years. He brought a faithful reverence to our Masses, but also injected it with his self-deprecating humor and shared personal stories of his family in his homilies. He was a down to earth priest who always seemed to go that extra mile, whether offering opportunities for growth in our faith through healing Masses or religious educational...

Fr. Lavorgna, we missed you when you left Pompeii, always loved seeing you since, but never in a million years did we ever imagine we'd lose you so soon. We have many happy, cherished memories through the years, and I am proud and blessed to have known you. For sure other pastors have big shoes to fill. Rest in peace, Fr. John.
