I only recently heard that John had passed away in a communication from SIU

Prayers and sympathy go out to you in the loss of John. He was a wonderful doctor and man. We missed him greatly at St. Joe's when you moved to Kalispell. May God give you comfort, and may many wonderful memories bring you a measure of peace.
