John Le Carre

I , to my shame , only recently started reading John Le Carre’s work and have become immediately immersed.
His charting of the UK’s demise on the world stage over the past 20 years or so resonate deeply with me - culminating as it does with Brexit and the country in the hands of ‘ tenth rate’ ministers.
Rest in peace .

The body of work created by this supremely gifted writer will last for many, many years. Condolences to his nearest and dearest. Cornwall should be proud that such a man chose to live in West Penwith.

Mr le Carre’s novels have been core reading for me for many years and I shall miss his insightful and erudite writing. He surely ranks as one of the finest writers of our time. RIP John le Carre

I hope that his family finds strength and hope during this time. He was such a gifted writer who made a true impact on many people. He will be truly missed, my heart goes out to his family.

The best writer in the mystery genre, he is irreplaceable and the literary world lost one of its greats. Rest in peace and thanks for all the memories .

He was a giant of literature, I watched all of his novels turned into movies. I'll never forget how he depicted George Smiley as a normal human being, everyone could relate to him. May God bless his family and hold them close during this difficult time .
