Cared for John for the past 2 1/2 years. He loved spending time on his porch and I always enjoyed listening to him reminisce about his travels, business and his life as a Joliet native. He truly loved life and is greatly missed!

As one of John's caregivers I am deeply saddened by his passing. One of my fondest memories of John was a couple summers ago, he had received a balloon bouquet and anybody that knows John knows he loves balloons. He asked if we could take one outside to let it go, we stood outside in the cul-de-sac and watched it go up and up. I had never seen anyone more excited over something so small. It was truly a great day for the both of us.

We go back a long, long way! John was our best man in our wedding almost 59 years ago. Couldn't believe he surprised us on the airplane as we headed to Puerto Rico on our honeymoon! What a friend he was.

I spent 27 years working for John as one of his sub contractors. I can still envision him jumping the curbs in his Rolls Royce to check out his subdivision under construction. He had a passion for home building. My wife Nancy fondly remembers his visits to her classroom to share his wonderful stories of his world travels. Our deepest condolences to Susan and Jane. God bless John Leach. The Robert Schwab Family
