He was the Director at St. Anthony's Home for Boy's while I was there from 1965 to 1969. So much appreciated his guidance and direction, love and concern during those years.

He was the most inspiring person, who did a lot to shape my life while I was a resident at Parmadale.

I'm sorry I just learned of his death today. He and I enjoyed a lengthy conversation of our time at Parmadale/St. Anthony's the last time we met - just a few years ago -
He taught me much and connected me to a special group of people I will never forget. And the man could throw a party!!

Fr. Leahy was a friend and my principal at Akron St. Vincent High School. I am sorry to hear of his passing and wish that I could have seen him in recent years. He will be in my prayers.

Father Leahy was a joy to teach and laugh with. Your humor especially will be missed at John Carroll.

I knew Father John Leahy for only one year when he was principal of St Vincent High School. Yet, I rank him among the most respected persons I have met. He was just, fair, encouraging, and caring. More than any other educator I know, he recognized that despite our faults and mistakes, we are the image of God. Thank you Father Leahy for the example you set for me.
