Not sure what to say?

Mr. Leaman was my music teacher at Mahar School from first grade on all the way through Hess in 5th, Hanlon Middle school in 6th, and through 7th grade which was the intermediate school back then. He was a talented man. Everyone anticipated the day when it would be music day. Kids pushed the old piano from classroom to classroom on it´s little wheels, and sometimes he would be playing the piano in the hallway while it rolled! He was a wonderful music man who was always in good spirits, and...

To Doris, Noel and Shelly, Our deepest sympathies on the loss of John. I remember him teaching our music classes when I was in grade school in the early 60's and I was always so proud to tell my friends that we were related :) He was always kind, funny, and talented. I know you will miss him terribly.

I remember what must have started my interest in music back in the 5th grade at Kaufmann Elementary where Mr. Leaman introduce the class to the "Flutophone". It's amazing how wonderful people like Mr. Leaman can still stir up positive memories. Rest in peace!

Mr Leaman, you help my dreams begin and helped me make the music of the night. Wishing you many happy performances with gods choir of angels.

I will never forget the first time Mr. Leaman came to Mahar school and introduced himself to our 5th and 6th grade classes; he sang his introduction in opera style. Music classes were very creative; I still remember the ballad of Johnny Sands and Betsy Hague, and have passed it on to my grandchildren. My sincere condolences to his family; Heaven has a great addition to the music department.

Mr Leaman was my teacher, I was in his class when Kennedy was shot, MR LEAMON WAS THE WONDERFUL, INSPIRATIONAL HUMAN BEING I EVER MET....RIP MR LEAMON

It´s been a few years since I´ve seen Cousin John but I remember him very fondly. He was so much fun to talk to at family events My condolences to Doris, Noel and Shelly and the rest of the family.
